By accessing or using HearthKeep ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
HearthKeep is a household management platform that provides financial tracking, task management, home maintenance scheduling, budgeting, and related features. The Service may include free and paid subscription tiers with varying feature availability.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Household Data
HearthKeep allows multiple users to share data within a household. By inviting members to your household, you consent to sharing household financial data, tasks, and other information with those members. You are responsible for ensuring that all household members understand and agree to this data sharing.
5. Financial Data
HearthKeep is not a financial advisor, bank, or licensed financial institution. The Service provides tools for tracking and organizing financial information but does not provide financial advice. You should consult a qualified financial professional for financial decisions.
When you connect bank accounts via Plaid, you authorize HearthKeep to access your financial data as described in our Privacy Policy. Transaction data is used solely to provide the Service.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Upload malicious code or content
- Use the Service to store or transmit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
7. Subscription and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Service settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HearthKeep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
